Overview Link to heading

Warsaw Method is designed with privacy as a default. The app does not collect personal information, does not use analytics or tracking, and does not share data with any third party.

What data the app stores on your device Link to heading

Warsaw Method stores the following data locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework:

  • Food items you create (name, carbohydrates, protein, fat, optional serving size)
  • Your FPU dose-extension timing configuration (if you customise it)

The following preferences are stored in your device’s local storage:

  • Whether you have acknowledged the medical disclaimer
  • Your chosen theme and appearance settings
  • A randomly generated device identifier used only to identify which device created a family sync group

None of this data leaves your device unless you choose to use Family Sync (described below).

Family Sync and CloudKit Link to heading

Family Sync is an optional feature. If you create or join a family sync group, food items you save are stored in Apple CloudKit under your iCloud account. This allows them to sync to other devices in your group.

The following data is stored in CloudKit when Family Sync is active:

  • Your food items (name, carbohydrates, protein, fat, serving size)
  • A randomly generated group identifier and a temporary join code
  • A randomly generated device identifier (not linked to your name, Apple ID, or any personal information)

This data is not visible to Warsaw Method, its developers, or any third party. It is stored in Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure and governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. No Warsaw Method server ever receives, processes, or has access to your data.

If you leave or delete a family sync group, the shared food data is deleted from CloudKit.

What we do not collect Link to heading

Warsaw Method contains no analytics, tracking, crash reporting, or advertising frameworks. Specifically:

  • No usage data or events are recorded
  • No identifiers are linked to you personally
  • No data is sent to any Warsaw Method server (there is none)
  • No third-party SDKs with data collection capabilities are included
  • No advertising identifiers (IDFA) are used or requested

In-app purchases and subscriptions Link to heading

Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Warsaw Method never sees your payment information. Subscription status is verified locally using Apple’s StoreKit framework.

Children Link to heading

Warsaw Method does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app contains no features that identify the age of users.

Changes to this policy Link to heading

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted here with a revised date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
